Expand your Microsoft Excel workbook with the New sheet button to insert blank sheets as you compile more data. Each new numbered worksheet includes a sheet tab that resembles a binder’s index tab at the screen’s bottom. Create a hanging indent Select the text where you want to add a hanging indent. Go to Home Paragraph dialog launcher Indents and Spacing. Under Special, select Hanging. You can adjust the depth of the indent using the By field. The IndentLevel property returns or sets the left indent for each cell in the range and can be any integer between 0 and 15. All other settings cause an error. Presumably, indents are useful for aligning the contents of cells or for formatting text. For instance, to set the indent level of cell A1 to 10, we can write: Range('A1').IndentLevel = 10.

I have some structured data which uses indentations to display a hierarchy (in the 'Format Cells' dialog under 'Alignment' there is a box 'Indent' which shows the indent/hierarchy level). I'm trying to pull out this indent level without success and hope someone may have some ideas.
I looked at using Get.Cell (http://www.mrexcel.com/forum/showthread.php?t=20611) but indent level doesn't seem to be an option. I tried using 53 to get contents as displayed including formatting but it doesn't include any leading spaces/tabs.
Can anyone help?

Choose First line By to indent the first line of a paragraph. To quickly create a first line indent using the ruler, see Create a first line indent. Choose Hanging By to create a hanging indent. To quickly create a hanging indent using the ruler, see Create a hanging indent. When you choose this, Left and Right become Inside and Outside. This is for book style printing.
